and 1933, 1934 and 1939?

Step-By-Step Solution

1. Which were the key features of the silhouettes of women‘s dresses between 1920 and 1924, 1925 and 1929, 1930

and 1933, 1934 and 1939?

1920-24 the silhouette was long, with a straightline emphasis; the waistline was lower to the hips and hemlines dropped to mid-calf.

1925-29 the boxy chemise style dominated with its waistline at the hips and hemlines at the knees.

1930-33, the silhouette was curvaceous with an emphasis on the bust and hips; the waistline returned to its natural position and hemlines were almost to the ankles.

1934-39, exaggerated sleeves and widened shoulderlines dominated the silhouette; hemlines continued to shorten until they were just below the knees by 1940.
